I'm planning on getting some roses tonight, to give to my girlfriend tomorrow morning. I was just wondering - What's the best way to make sure they don't begin wilting, before that time? Thank you!
How do I keep my roses alive!?
cut about one inch off the stem so that they get a new cut and keep them in water.
Reply:Okay, there is lots of things to do.. you can put a penny in the water w/ sugar for the plants food, and I've heard sprite helps it stay purky..
Reply:I got roses today as well. They said keep them in the fridge so they are cold and fresh tomarrow.
Reply:most roses have a package of stuff that comes with them now a-days that keeps them living for a good while
or just put them in the fridge
Reply:No worries! If the florist is still open go back and ask for those little tube things so each flower can have it's own water supply. If not, just put them in the fridge. Keeping them cool will slow the wilting stage.
Reply:Stick them in the fridge. Also, packing ice into the vase helps, too.
