I have 6 rose bushes and all have black spots. I've tried the systemic stuff that's suppose to fertalize, kill pest and is a fungacide. It didn't work at all!!! HELP!
What is the best way to get rid of black spot on roses?
Verify the active ingredient on the spray you used.
A spray with a systemic fungicide, such as Benomyl, Triforine, Burpirimate or Carbendazim works best. These sprays are usually just fungicides and do not fertilize and kill pest at the same time.
Don't forget to burn affected leaves. If not the disease will spread the disease to other roses.
Note that some roses are particularly prone to black spot, so no matter what you do on these roses it will always come back. Before buying new roses, invest in a good encyclopedia that mentions the disease resistance of each rose.
Reply:yes , a good thing to do would be to fertelize your roses with coffe grounds , and let them soak in the soil , and zero , zilch no more spots , any more , hope i helped , good luck !
Reply:my wife put coffee grounds around them and no more spots
