I'm practicing them (I was never taught) and I can't quite figure out how to remove them from the paper to the cake. I'm considering carefully using a butter knife and slowly using another butter knife to slide it off. But is there some utinsel specially made? I think I saw some crazy looking scizzors at Michael's, but wasn't sure that's what they were for.
How do I remove frosting roses from parchment paper?
Put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes and just pop off. Pampered chef makes a nice small spatula that will be perfect for what you want. Its about 2 inches wide.
Reply:Turn it over and dampen a q-tip and slightly wet it then gently pull, next time use wax paper once the flowers sit in the refrig you can get them off easy
Reply:Try using wax/parchment paper next time. If stuck using a slightly heated flat metal utensil (cake slice server, etc) should work perfectly.
Reply:Those scissors work well but so will a cake server lightly sprayed with bakers secret, use a little more frosting to glue it in place.
Reply:freeze them - or use wax paper next time - let them get really cold, pop them off and let them come to room temp on wax paper
