I tried the garden center down the road but was told you can only get a contact spray for grasshoppers so I would have to sit there all day waiting to get them. I work all day so that is out of the question
Does anyone know of a way to keep grasshoppers from eating my roses.?
Systemic insect poison for the roses. I use that and the bugs grasshoppers included stay of the roses.
Reply:Thanx for the help guys. sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Work long hours Report It
Reply:Try 7 dust or some mild soap and water and spray on roses. I know their leaves hate to be wet. Could try liquid 7 but the 7-dust would be better.
Reply:no, that isnt true, I had a lawn company spray for them last spring when they were little, so you can get spray somewhere. also try beer,
Reply:Tell them NO or tap them on the nose.
Reply:sprinkle them with sevin dust. Planting marigolds around them also keeps insects away.
Reply:you can buy Mantis from garden center or get bird food to attract birds to eat them. They are grasshopper's natural enemy, why poison your rose when you can use a more healthy way?
