climbers climb up to the sky and ramblers grow along the ground. ramblers are pretty tough and bloom longer
What is the difference between climbing roses and rambler roses? Which are the hardier?
i'm unsure as to hardiness as that depends on your soil, and the weather, how many dogs are peeing on it and such like. i do know that climbing plants have thigmotrophism (i really hope i remembered that correctly) which is a mechanism that allows them to cling to surfaces. ivy's have it too. so if a rose was to climb up a wall and you trained it to in a certain pattern, it would be more exposed to winds and the elements in general, but a rambler (which i'm assuming is just a bush or ground-covering) has more protection as it is lower down and it's less spread out... ugh, i'm not so good with plants. good with cacti (i just leave them be) bad with flowery types (flaming katies die within five days).
