Do you prefer to get real roses, knowing you'll have to water them perhaps often and almost daily in order to keep them alive so they don't wilt away? Or do you prefer silk roses that will last forever, and all you need to do is put them in a vase? Or do you not like to get roses because they are too cliche, or for another reason entirely.
Thank you for answering. I will be choosing a best answer on Valentine's Day.
Ladies: What kind of roses do you like to get?
Real lavender roses is my favorite out of all the wonderful bouquets I've received.....as the rose petals dried, I save them in a close antique jar. The beauty of the rose lingers on.
I usually freeze one rose to look at when I need to smile. I have one rose that is now dried and it's seventeen years old and another rose stayed in the back window of my car for 5 years.
Reply:I don't know about you but if I got a bunch of fake roses on valentine's day I would be pretty steamed. also you must not buy roses often because you don't have to water them everyday. If you know what her favorite flower is then go with that, she just might be surprised with that one. or go classic red. her favorite color for roses is not a bad idea either.
Reply:I once got 6 red roses and 6 white roses. The combination was beautiful. I think multiple color bouquets are the best. Every girl has her own favorite flower. You should try to find out what kind(s) yours likes the best. You can try asking her friends if you don't want her to know about it.
I prefer real flowers and I dry them out and keep them.
Reply:I prefer fake rose. It will last forever. That means your relationship will last forever with everlasting roses.
(fake roses)
Reply:I like dark pink roses. Red are too over done and fake roses are cheesy
Reply:I love to get the roses that are big when they bloom, the bud even looks big. I really love red because it's classic and romantic. But if you know your gals favorite color definitely go for that. Make sure they are long stem roses, I think those are the best. Hope this helps.
Reply:A bouquet of different coloured flowers is the prettiest. You could decorate the bouquet with silk ribbons in pearly colours.
You get get different coloured roses and in coloured chits(same colour as the rose), you could write down what each colour means (go on google, you'll get the meaning of what each different coloured rose represents).
Reply:We all love real roses, and in my opinion white ones.... nerver give yellows ones. they are for grandmas
Reply:Agree with Ash. Fake is cheezy! Like pink ones. I got a miniature rose plant in a nice pot. That was cute, they lasted until my bf forgot to water them when I was away.
Reply:Get him/her a gift certificate to Bath Junkie. That place allows you to make your own "customized" scent either in lotion, oil or soap fashion.
curosity note - be sure to check out the Dirt Scent, seriously it smells like dirt.
peace out
have a happy valetine's day.
Or if you know the person, Design the scent yourself. so get all the Rose Scents and see how that smells for her.
Reply:i like Pink Roses..
Reply:Fake roses is a horrible idea. It'll end up with her either feeling obligated to use them as house decoration, or she'll feel guilty that she won't be using them for decoration.
Although roses can be classic, and nice, I have always tried to give flowers that are unconventional. It usually works in flattering women. They're not used to getting unique flowers, so it takes them by surprise, and they'll be impressed that you took the time to really think it through.
Here are some ideas/ specific flowers that have worked for me:
1) Go to a flower shop that sells flowers by the stem. Pick out a shade (I picked purples) and match several different flowers and textures to make a nice bouquet. The mix of colors will make everything pop out. It can be very beautiful.
2) Asiatic Lilies! They are often in shades of yellow and orange, and with their exotic look and the contrast of their bright green stems, they can be very nice when bunched with a complimentary sprig like fern or hell, even baby's breath. (the florists can help!)
3) Irises! Perhaps one of my favorites. They are a deep blue/purple, they are small and wriggly with a bright yellow bottom. Long-shaped, not round. Beautiful, unique flowers
Also, I've included a link that can help you find flowers based on their meanings. This helped me in searching, because I can look up the meaning, then look up the flower's image on google, and see if it was a nice flower or not. Try this link first, sometimes other sights for flower meanings are quite lengthy cause they include herbs and regular plants too.
