I have good rose plant pellets that I am supposed to dig up the root area of the rose plant and dig these pellets into the ground, why can't I just put them in my hose end sprayer, let them disolve then hook up the hose and spray on, you can tell I am no scientist. I don't have the money to buy more stuff and i don't have the time to dig up the soils
Roses, why can't I just disolve those rose "pellets' for insect and disease control and spray on ?
Because whatever you have there is intended to be absorbed by the roots. You don't have to dig up anything, just make a hole about 1 foot deep and plop it is. I'm curious. I've been growing roses for 20 years and I have never come across rose pellets that are intended for insect and disease control. What is it called?
Reply:the chemicals in the pellets are designed to be pulled in thru the root system and dispersed thru the plant internally
roses are a tough plant but the leaves are effected by liquids on them
even water from a hose onthe petals leaves brown spots if you leave it sit on there
keep the petals and the bloom dry to keep em lookin good
Reply:any rose pellets should be placed around the root zone of the rose but not touching the stem. I know of nothing that you need to dig up a rose. Water as needed but not the leaves. Roses like sunny locations, sandy soil, but water the soils only. what you describe i think does not exist. are you reading instructions correctly?
