Tulips are cupped shaped and have about 4-6 petals and are virtually melded together until the blossoms start to die off. Roses have tons and tons of petals and they bloom and open up until almost all the petals are exposed. Roses are my fave.
How can you tell the difference of Roses and Tulips? Which do you like better?
I don't think it is the case of preference, one or other, roses start flowering after most varieties of tulips have finished.
Reply:Tulips are bulbous plants. Roses are woody plants. I like tulips better because they are simple, elegant and easy to grow(as long as the squirrels don't eat them all).
Reply:It's like asking the difference between a horse and a cockroach. They're nothing alike.
Reply:Roses are woody thorny shrubs and tulips are tender perennials that grow from a bulb underground. I like tulips better then roses. I especially like planting my tulips where they can be appreciated. Care to see how I plant my tulips?
Reply:Tulips are nicer for that season roses are more hardy and will have better chances of coming back year after year. Roses have thorns and are more of a bush. Tulips are smalled have bulbs and have smaller root system.

Reply:Tulips are delicate, and come out during Spring. Roses are beautiful, even though, they have thorns. Personally, I prefer roses.
Reply:i like roses because they come in many colors and are very cool. also they are relatively easy to grow.=)
Reply:Tulips have a more smooth long leaf and are really just a spring flower and a rose has more of a bushy quality to it, also distinctive of its jagged leaves and thorny stems, it will usually produce more than one set of flowers a year. Because of that reason I would have to say rose, it is a more attractive flower to me.
