I found a beautiful rose that was dipped in some kind of resin/acrylic. I was wondering if someone might know how to make these? I would love to make some for my family.
How to make dipped roses?

Reply:I've seen something advertised on hsn.com. It is small pellets, sort of like cat litter, and comes in a big tub, you put fresh flowers in it and cover them up with the stuff for a few days, and they are forever preserved.
I think I've seen a liquid to dip flowers in to preserve them sold at a Michael's craft store. Check their website out also (if you don't have one in your town).
Reply:Years ago, we used to dip flowers in melted wax. After dipping , the flower was hung upside down to drip dry.Once dry, you snip off the excess drips.
Reply:Wish i knew. but everything i tried turned the Roses black.
