Are you supposed to "deadhead" climbing roses"?

By deadheading my other roses, it causes more blooms to appear all season long. However, when I deadhead my climbers, I get no more blooms. Is there another way to keep my climbers blooming?

i just bought my first climbers at the beginning of this season. i made sure that i had purchased a prolific rebloomer. there were no specifications for deadheadding and it has been blooming like crazy and the bush has been in the ground for 2 months now.

have you been feeding it? i feed my climber regularly

good luck!!
Reply:I had a climbing rose bush and I used to snip off the dead blooms just above the first leaf. And it blossomed all summer, and grew really tall! You may want to check with your local nursery for more suggestions..
Reply:dehead down to 1st set of 3 leaves-4 to 6 wks to rebloom-worth it? i don't think so
