Can you say what do I add to the water in a dozen peach roses- to last longer?

I did not recieve the packet of whatever that usually comes with flowers.

Can you say what do I add to the water in a dozen peach roses- to last longer?
I heard an aspirin works but I've never tried. Keeping them in a cool room helps a lot.
Reply:They say an Aspirin. If you have some Miracle-Gro may try adding a small amount of it.
Reply:Baking soda and a little bit of sugar.
Reply:the flower shop may have something to add or atleast some advice
Reply:an aspirin
Reply:a splash of sprite or coke does great. guess its the sugar.
Reply:what you want to do is give them a fresh cut every other day this means taking about half an inch or a little more off in a diagonal cut off the bottom of the stem, and also fresh water.

when you replace the water you need to make sure its cold, or at least room temperature, they dont like hot water.

also, sugar, 7 up, aspirin- these all work very well :) enjoy !
Reply:aspirin, it is what my grandmother always used, extends the "life span" of cut flowers. a "bc Powder", or bayer work best for me
Reply:add half a aspirin and cut the bottoms off about half a inch or a Lil more if u change the water put another half a aspirin in the watter and when they do start to dry if u wanna keep them u can go to the store and they got this stuff u put in a bag with the roses and they never lose the color or anything its cool or you can just hang them upside down and let them dry
