I want to save my wedding bouquet and someone told me that hanging them upside down would keep them red. Is that just a myth or does it really work?
Does hanging roses upside down really help them retain their original color once they have died?
I am a floral designer and I will tell you that yes they will keep more of their color drying them that way and apposed to putting them in silica sand or gel or spray. If you want to bring out the color even more and help the shed and crumble less hit them with spray paint. just a little.
Reply:Yes, that's the best way to dry flowers.
Reply:It works to an extent. What I did with my bouquet though is freezer dried it. It takes out all of the condensation but the color stays beautifully.
Reply:Yes, and their shape, too. But red ones usually turn black -- stick with light colors.
