blue rose or lily wrapped in nice paper like when u buy it
How do i keep roses and lily alive over night? if i cant put them in water since its wrapped up in paper ?
With the abundance of fruit and vegetables in the frig, I don't like to put flowers in there as the ethlyene gas from the ripening produce shortens the flowers' life. Also frigs are too cold for flowers and you'll end up getting brown edges.
Unwrap the flowers, cut the stems as described and put them into a vase, jar or bucket with water and set in a cool area away from air blowing onto them.......not near the AC! Then rewrap and deliver the next day.
Remember these flowers are shipped from South America dry, that is w/o water wrapped in plastic lined boxes. They will do fine in a vase of water over night.
Reply:If they are a gift for someone tomorrow, take them out of the paper, cut a very short smidge of the stems off under running water, then put them in a vase, if possible, in the fridge, overnight.
You can put them back in the paper for delivery tomorrow.
Reply:try and refrigerate them so they at least stop the decay process
Reply:stick them in the fridge -do you not have water at your house???
