How do u press roses into bookmarks?

I wanted to know how ppl make a real rose look like a book mark? (p.s. is it cuz u jus press it in a book?..n i tried but the petals broke..so any ideas?)

Put the fresh flower between two pieces of wax paper before you put it in the book. The wax paper may help prevent the petals from tearing.
Reply:They forgot to mention you need heavy books to do this because the hip of the rose is hard to mash down.



If you are crafty you can make your own flower press using scrap pieces of plywood, 8 washers, 4 wide-head regular long screws (Not wood screws) and 4 wing nuts.



Simple to do just cut the plywood into 2 pieces the size of a book making sure it's corners are rounded off. Then drill holes in the four corners of the plywood about an inch to an inch and a half from the edge. Then glue down the washer on the outside of press over each hole both top and bottom (not inside press). Then poke the screws in and fasten the wing nuts and your of to the races.



Just put in a wax paper flower and tighten the wing nuts until it's pressed and let it sit for a few weeks.

just put the rose in it and then sit on the book if u have BIG BUTT or you can just stand on it
