How do you send roses to someone without the help of a florist and without it dying?

Fist of all, it will take an effort of your part for that and here's what ya need to do. of course you'll need fresh roses i take it you have them at hand so I'll continue . separate the rose stem you like from the plant with sharp pruning shears. with a hammer gently crack the cut end to insure water absorption up through the stem. Let roses set in water to absorb as much as they can while you prepare the next step. next, you will need supplies from a craft store. they are small plastic containers that hold water there is a hole on top that is covered by a plastic membrane which you will push the cut end of your rose into. ( of course you fill it with water first it holds a small amount of water, enough to last a day or two) once you have that done you can arrange them in a pleasing manner in some sort of container for giving as a gift. Now you'll need a long box or container to send it in. and there ya go . that should help you. so, as you can see; it does take some time to do that but i tell you, the person on the receiving end of that gift well lets just say if they are lovers of home made gifts... you gained their approval !!

my pleasure !! Report It
Reply:get beautiful fake ones
Reply:I call a florist in the city that I am sending flowers to and have them sent out and put it on my credit card. I talk to the florist

for a little bit, to get a feel of them. Then I let them know the family name and where they are and usually they know them.

My friend or family let me know in just a little while they received the flowers. Works great for us. We do not use the FDA and have to pay for the call or telegram they use. Best wishes.
