They seem to steer clear of the buds thus far, but many of the leaves are eaten through. Do you know what they are (they fly and are about half the size of a lady bug) and how to get rid of them with a natural pesticide? Could you recommend one? Thanks!
Small metallic blue/green bugs are eating the foliage of my roses?
ithe bugs are called japanese beetles. you can go to a garden shop and find traps that will help eliminate them. also there are several sprays on the market that will help.
Reply:NO CHOICE........BUG SPRAY. TAKE A SAMPLE TO YOUR NURSERY TO FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF BUGS THEY ARE AND WHAT KIND OF SPRAY TO USE..........GOOD LUCK ........... DAVID S. (LIKELY APHIDS)
Reply:Go to your local nursury and ask the employees to help you find one my mom has one that also keeps her cat off the plants. And her boyfriend is an entomologist, too. Good Luck! :)
