What is up with a florist who sends out Valentine's Day roses that begin to wilt the next day?

I have heard that because the roses did not open, but instead wilted, that they were frozen. Is there such a thing as frozen flowers? Makes sense.( Black around the edge of the petal too!)

You should complain.

A rose should not die the next day. That is ridiculous. I am a florist and never have I had anyone have a problem with my roses.
Reply:Well I don't think a florist can guarantee when the flowers will start to will or will not start....

Flowers are a living thing and they do die... I had beautiful roses that started to wilt the next day.... The Calililles bloomed more and still look really pretty.... but roses are delicate and I expected them to die...
