Who owns Markers Mark, Four Roses and Jim Bean?
Makers Mark and Jim Beam are both owned by Fortune Brands, a corporation based out of Illinois who also own such brands as Sauza, Courvoursier (sp?), and many other brands...

Four Roses is owned by the Japanese company, Kirin Brewing Company, which is a subsidary of Mitsubishi (the same company that owns the automobile brand).

Interesting to note that Kirin Ichiban beer, the brewery's flagship, is available in the US, and is solely imported and distributed by Anheuser-Busch, although A-B has no ties to the distribution of Four Roses Bourbon.

Reply:No idea to the parent company. I know that Jim Beams makes their name sake bourbon and also Makers Mark is part of Jim Beams.

Just FYI, Jim Beam Distillery is located in Clermont Kentucky and they can not even sell their product there. They are located in a Dry County.

The Great Great Great grandson of Jim Beams, named Booker Noe, lived just down the road (Bardstown, Ky) from the distillery. You could just walk up to his front door and talk with him. He was a very nice man and always had time to talk to people.

They have a good tour of the place and a gift shop with a area that they show a short film strip in.

They are located just south of Louisville.
