Do you like the smell of roses?

Why do they have a pleasant smell? Are bees attracted to that?

Do you like the smell of roses?
Sure they have a very pleasant smell.
Reply:I love the smell of the bBlue Moon and Freesia Yellow rose
Reply:I like them - though the smell of Peonies is actually much more like what is "presented" as Rose smell. Florists roses are beautiful but mostly scent-less. Many roses have other smells - things more like citrus or even spicy scents.

Roses are bred for looks or smell - sometimes both. They are bred to appeal to us, not bees. Also most of my roses are fertilized by ants - I almost never see a bee on them. Some butterflies and flits land on the roses also, but bees do not seem to care about them at all.
Reply:Love it!
