How do i make my electric guitar sound like Guns n Roses' Sweet child of mine intro lead?

Please help me. what effects should i have? overdrive? distortion? and what mod should i use, and settings please. i kinda use boss effects so if someone give me detailed settings on each effect, that would be great! thanks!

How do i make my electric guitar sound like Guns n Roses' Sweet child of mine intro lead?
well first off, what sort of guitar and amp have you got? slash is famous for using Gibson Les Pauls and Marshall Amps. If you have a Les Paul style guitar, use the neck pickup, with the tone rolled off quite a fair bit, how much depends on your pickup. This is called " Woman Tone" and is a favourite of Slash and Eric Clapton. As for the amp, use a fair amount of distortion, don't have to much treble in, but also dont let the bass be to overpowering. I would say have the treble at around 4/5 and the bass and middle at 7. Slash doesnt really use many effects, maybe a little chorus would sound nice, personally I don.t use any apart from a wah wah pedal. If you have a strat style guitar, use either neck and middle or just the middle pickup, and use the same amp settings as above. All being said, it really depends on your guitar and amp. But anyway, It's just a mix of overdrive, and a touch of chorus with a slow clock, and a short delay.
