How do I properly take care of my roses without paying for any expensive book??
MASTER GARDENER TO THE RESCUE.

You're right. have you seen the price of garden books lately? wow. unreal.

but i got a better answer for you and not only is it everything you need to know about rose care in your own neighborhood, but it's free too!

just contact your local univ extension and ask to speak with a MASTER GARDENER. we have all sorts of rose goodies all printed up and ready to be put into your hands.

the real cool part is it is written for the growing conditions right there in you own neighborhood. not some general info that applies the same in new york and california. your local extension service is like having a garden expert living right next door to you.

you can find them in the gov. section of your phone book under state services.
Reply:Put plenty of horse manure on them.

Go to bbc.co.uk and look up 'gardeners world' web page.

Lots of free advice and always good. Keep an eye on it, they deal with roses at the appropriate time in the year. i.e. how to prune in winter and protect from frost.
Reply:my goodness,, what happened to the library??? can't you google rose gardening on your puter?? geez,,,
Reply:Sometimes a good book is worth it.

Also gardening magazines offer a lot of info for not a lot of money.

Good luck!
Reply:The internet is a great place to look. Hope these links answer some of your questions.
Reply:You can ask Master Gardener in your area, or go to the Nursery. Sometimes, they provide a small handmade brochures of how to...s. It is quite helpful.
