How do you dry out roses?
There is a compound that is sold in Craft Shops named Silica Gel. It is a white crystalline compound that is very hygroscopic. Actually those small white bags in the box of new electronic gadgets is filled with silica gel.
Get a plastic container with a tight fitting lid. fill it 1/4 full with silica gel place the rose bud in the container. Slowly pour the crystals around the bud. place the lid on and let sit for a week. When you open the container after the week the bud will be as dry as a "Popcorn Fart"
The silica gel is reusable and only a few dollars
Reply:To dry they have to be in a very dry place, not sure where you live, you can spread out in a container and they should dry in a few days.
Reply:When the flowers start to brown naturally, just remove the petals and spread them out on newspaper or such to dry. Turn every few hours till dry.
Reply:Just put them in between the pages of a heavy book and leave them there for about 6 months. They will be all dried out and last a life time.
