but I put them out last night - according to the directions and I don't see many of them today. Did I waste my money? Anyone else use them instead of spraying bad chemicals?? Curious - thanks!!!
So I bought live lady bugs to get rid of the bugs on my roses?
I've had good luck with ladybugs for aphid control. You probably lost a lot of them, they're bad for flying off, but no worries, there are plenty still hanging out in your area. As long as there is a steady food supply, they'll stick around.
Reply:I Love ladybugs too... however they do go the way God intended... lol... However, try using dishsoap mixed 1 tsp to 1 gal water. and put in a sprayer and spritz both sides the plants leaves... Do this in the early morning before the sun hits them. It will get rid of those nasty aphids!
Reply:You have to blast your roses with a hose and soapy water-not just spray them. Then use a systemic insecticide like Orthene.
The lady bugs chose their own digs and have left for greener pastures.
