What can I use to make my roses bloom more often?

Some of my rose plants have blooms which don't open, others take a long time to grow back, it has been very hot in so.calif where I live

REMOVE DEAD BLOOMS, USE MIRACLE GROW I BELEIVE ITS MIR-ACID FOR ROSES, ROSES NEED TO HAVE DAMP NOT DRY SOIL
Reply:cut the flowers off right before they die, or start showing any wilt. As long as you keep doing this, the plant will keep blooming.
Reply:Let me tell you about roses. They are a member of the cactus family. Dont overwater. 2x a week is fine. Just water slowly and deeply like with a soaker or drip hose. Dont get the leaves wet. Dig cornmeal and banana peels into the ground by them. If you are fertilizing, too much nitrogen promotes healthy leaves and stems but no blossoms. Use a fertilizer with a high middle number. The cornmeal for some reason stops black spot and the banana peels I think provid potassium(necessary for flowers)
Reply:Sounds like they are not getting the nutrients they need as well as the moisture level. Try a rose plant food, and adding multch around the root base. You ay not ave the right amount of sun on them as well. They crave sun, especially morning sun.
Reply:roses are thirsty plants.. water often ,pinch off dead blooms.
Reply:Use a 3 in 1 rose care regemin. It is actually sold in bottles of granules at your local nursery centers. It tells you how much of it to use and when based on the size of the plant.

The regemin should be started in May to have full effect.

Roses DON'T like to have their feet constantly wet and need plenty of food and air circulation to keep them in top form and productive.

Even with this product, the blooms (depending on the type of roses also), will wane a bit and then rebound after a period of rest.

Floribunda roses produse the most flowers while tea roses fewer but bigger blooms. Climbers produce the most flowers but can be hard to handle sometimes and go wild. Their flowers are smaller.
